HIRE POLICY
General Policy Overview:
Pretty the Party aims to provide exceptional services to our clients, making their events a memorable and enjoyable experience. We offer a wide range of event supplies, decorations, equipment, and accessories to meet your event needs. To ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction, we have formulated the following hire policy.
1. Agreement:
· By using the services of Pretty the Party, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. These terms and conditions represent a legal agreement between you and Pretty the Party.
2. Eligibility:
· You must be 18 years of age or older to enter into this agreement and to use the services offered by Pretty the Party.
3. Reservation and Booking:
· Reservations can be made either through email, our Instagram / Facebook page/s or over the phone.
· A non-refundable 30% booking fee is required within 4 business days from the time of booking to secure the reservation.
· Full payment is due 10-days before the pickup or delivery of the hired items.
· All rates and charges are subject to change without notice.
4. Cancellation Policy:
· Cancellations made within 10-days of the scheduled pickup/delivery will result in forfeiture of the entire booking fee and 50% of the remaining balance.
· Cancellations made more than 10-days in advance of the scheduled pickup/delivery will forfeit the booking fee and receive a credit note for any remaining credits paid to Pretty The Party. The portion of the booking fee forfeited is to account for administration chargers, for stock purchased to complete the event, time and reserving a reservation with Pretty The Party.
· Refunds will be issued as credit notes.
5. The rental period:
· Begins at the scheduled reservation start time and ends at the scheduled reservation end time. All extensions must be approved by Pretty the Party and may be subject to additional charges.
· Extensions must be requested at least 7 days before the scheduled end of the hire period.
· Late returns will be subject to additional fees.
6. Delivery and Pickup:
· Your invoice will include a delivery and pickup fee. This will be based on the distance and the size of the order.
· Delivery and pickup times must be arranged at the time of booking.
· Clients must ensure someone is present ie staff at the venue during the scheduled delivery and pickup times.
7. Damage and Loss:
· Clients are responsible for any damage or loss of hired items during the hire period.
· In some circumstances a security deposit may be required which will be refunded upon the return of undamaged items.
· Charges for damaged or lost items will be invoiced immediately after your function.
8. Use of Hired Items:
· Hired items are intended for their designated purpose only. You are responsible for the proper use and operation of the equipment rented from Pretty the Party and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
· Clients are responsible for using the items safely and appropriately.
· Any damage incurred during the rental period, including damage caused by improper use or negligence, will be the responsibility of the renter and will result in additional charges.
9. Liability:
· Renters are responsible for any damage caused to Pretty the Party equipment and to any damage to third party property or persons caused by the rented equipment during the rental period.
· Pretty The Party is not liable for any losses or damages to personal property.
10. Cleaning and Maintenance:
· Hired items must be returned in the same condition as they were received.
· Basic cleaning is the responsibility of the client. Additional cleaning charges may apply if items are returned dirty or damaged.
· Any damage due to improper cleaning or maintenance will be charged to the client.
· Renters must promptly report any mechanical issues or damage to rented equipment to Pretty the Party.
· Renters must not attempt any repairs or modifications to rented equipment without the consent of Pretty the Party.
11. Refunds and Returns:
· Refunds will not be provided for early returns or unused items.
· Returns must be made on or before the agreed-upon date and time.
· Late returns may incur additional charges.
12. Compliance with Laws and Regulations:
· Clients are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the use of hired items, including safety regulations and permits if necessary.
13. Use of Personal Information:
· By renting from Pretty the Party, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with the company's privacy policy.
14. Changes to Terms and Conditions:
· Pretty the Party reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Notice of changes will be provided through the company's website or by other reasonable means.
15. Termination:
· Pretty the Party reserves the right to terminate this agreement and/or the rental of equipment at any time if the renter fails to comply with these terms and conditions or engages in prohibited or unlawful activities.
16. Acceptance of Terms:
· By making a reservation, clients agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this hire policy.
